Westside Pediatric Group is closely following the most up-to-date announcements and information on the known cases of Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19). The information is continually changing, and we are monitoring all updates from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the World Health Organization, and the Monroe County Department of Health.

Scheduled, same-day appointments for illness:

At this time, all those with scheduled, same-day appointments for illness are asked to arrive by vehicle at the door marked “Staff Entrance.” Please remain in your vehicle and call the office. A staff member will come out to greet you. Your child will be seen on the first floor.

Well-child physicals for children 0–2 years of age:

Per American Academy of Pediatrics recommendations, health care for children 0–2 years of age is considered an essential in-office visit. All well-child physicals for children 0–2 years of age will be seen in the office on the main (second) floor. Arrive at the main entrance and call the office upon arrival. We ask that only one healthy adult accompany the child to the visit. We will be screening all patients and family members for illness symptoms prior to the appointment. We will also be checking caregiver and patient (when appropriate) temperature upon entering the building.

Well-child physicals for ages 3 years and up:

Well-child physicals for ages 3 years and up, general health follow-ups, behavioral health visits, and medication follow-up appointments will be done via telemedicine (video) visits. The office will call you to schedule. You will need a smart phone to participate in these calls.

PLEASE BE AWARE THAT AT THIS TIME, THERE IS NO RECOMMENDATION TO TEST IN AN OFFICE SETTING FOR COVID-19. IF YOU FEEL THAT YOU OR YOUR CHILD HAS BEEN EXPOSED, PLEASE CALL OUR OFFICE FOR ADVICE.
