Westside Pediatric Group is closely following the most up-to-date announcements and information on the known cases of Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19). The information is continually changing, and we are monitoring all updates from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the World Health Organization, and the Monroe County Department of Health.
If you are a patient of Westside Pediatric Group, and have questions or concerns, please contact us at 585-247-5400.
PLEASE BE AWARE THAT ALL WELL CHILDREN ARE SEEN UPSTAIRS ONLY; SAME DAY VISITS FOR ACUTE ILLNESS ARE SEEN DOWNSTAIRS ONLY BY ONE DEDICATED PROVIDER. SEE CLARIFICATION BELOW.
WESTSIDE PEDIATRIC GROUP IS NOW ABLE TO PERFORM NASAL SWAB TESTING FOR CORONAVIRUS IN THE OFFICE. WE SEND THE RESULTS TO AN OUTSIDE LAB.
Scheduled, same-day appointments for illness:
At this time, all those with scheduled, same-day appointments for illness are asked to arrive by vehicle at the door marked “Staff Entrance.” Please remain in your vehicle and call the office. A staff member will come out to greet you. Your child will be seen on the first floor.
Well-child physicals:
Per American Academy of Pediatrics recommendations, routine health care for children is considered an essential in-office visit. All well-child physicals for children will be seen in the office on the main (second) floor. Arrive at the main entrance and call the office upon arrival. We ask that only one healthy adult accompany the child to the visit. We ask that you wear your mask and (if age appropriate) your child wear a mask to the visit. We will be screening all patients and family members for illness symptoms prior to the appointment. We will also be checking caregiver and patient (when appropriate) temperature upon entering the building.
Video (Telemedicine) Visits:
General health follow-ups, behavioral health visits, and medication follow-up appointments will be done via telemedicine (video) visits as appropriate. The office will call you to schedule. You will need a smart phone to participate in these calls.
Westside Pediatrics is a clean and safe environment. We are doing everything we can to protect our patients, families and staff. All staff are required to be masked at all times. All equipment used during a patient work up is sanitized between each patient and the office is thoroughly cleaned with CDC-approved disinfectants at the end and the beginning of each day. We are all in this together, we want to make sure your experience in our office meets your expectations.
Thank you for your flexibility and understanding during this time.
