Your insurance carrier must be notified when adding a new baby or adopted child to your policy. If required by insurance, the name of the pediatrician must also be added to the contract – effective on or before the child’s first visit at Westside Pediatrics.  Insurance claims, denied as the result of improper PCP designation will become your financial responsibility.

*Patients with a non-participating insurance will be required to pay in full at the time of service.  As a courtesy, we will submit a claim on your behalf so that your carrier reimburses you in a timely fashion.  This service is provided once for each date of service.  If you have any questions regarding your coverage, please contact your insurance carrier for an explanation of your health care plan.

Charges and Payments

We participate with a wide range of insurance companies. Any balance not paid by your insurance company will be billed to you. For purposes of HMO co-payments, we consider the parent accompanying the child to the office responsible for the co-payment. Your doctor’s contract with your insurance company requires us to collect co-payments except under very rare circumstances. If you are experiencing financial hardship, please stop in to the billing office or call 247-5400 at your earliest convenience. The billing specialists have a lot of information about community based insurance available for children, and they want to work with you so that your child may continue to receive care in our office. Please refer to our financial policy for more information.
